The voting period for the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election is now closed. Unofficial results from the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election will be posted at electionresults.greatersudbury.ca as soon as they are available.

Traffic Update-Elm Street and Paris Street

Elm Street, Sudbury- Construction work will close the westbound curb lane in front of the Rainbow Mall on Elm Street between Lisgar Street and the cross walk on Wednesday, October 24 until Tuesday, November 20. The cross walk will remain open and traffic control will be in place.

2018 Election and Municipal Election Voting Period Extended *Revised Locations*

As a result of issues with the elections service provider, the City of Greater Sudbury Clerk has extended the voting period until 8 p.m. tomorrow evening, October 23.

Traffic Update- Highway 537

UPDATE: Highway 537, Wahnapitae- Continued culvert repairs will close a section of Highway 537, 900 metres south of Dryden Road on Monday, October 22 until repairs are complete. Local traffic will have access at all times. Motorists are asked to detour via Red Deer North, Kari Road and Dryden Road.

Residents east of South Bay Road are asked to reduce use of flush toilets and drains while crews repair a wastewater force main break.

Voice Your Choice! The Election Bus will visit the Market from noon and 2 p.m. Bring your Voter Information Letter to cast your vote in the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election. If you have not received your Voter Information Letter or need to make changes, please bring ID to register to vote or update your information.

Voters can voice their choice online from their own computer, tablet or smartphone at www.intvoting.com/GreaterSudbury2018 until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 22. Those voters who would like to cast their ballot in person on Monday, October 22, can visit any of the 23 Electronic Voting Locations throughout Greater Sudbury.

Place des Arts Phase One Construction Begins October 23, 2018

The City of Greater Sudbury has issued a conditional building permit required to begin Phase One of the construction for Place des Arts. Work on the facility will begin at the Larch Street site on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Traffic Update- Barry Downe Road and Highway 537

Barry Downe Road, Sudbury- A private contractor will close the eastbound curb lane on Barry Downe Road at the Lasalle Boulevard intersection on Monday, October 15. Work will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue overnight until the repairs are made.
