City of Greater Sudbury 2018 Holiday Municipal Service Schedule

The 2018 holiday municipal service schedule is as follows

December 13, 2018
Traffic Update- Kathleen Street

Kathleen Street, Sudbury- Rock scaling and ditching will close the westbound lane on Kathleen Street near the intersection of Mackenzie Street on Friday, December 14 until Monday, December 17. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both lanes of traffic will be routed to the eastbound lanes.

Notice of Telephone Scam Regarding Carbon Monoxide Testing

Residents are advised that the City of Greater Sudbury and Greater Sudbury Fire Services are not conducting carbon monoxide or smoke alarm testing.

Traffic Update- Lasalle Boulevard Extension

Lasalle Boulevard extension, Sudbury- Rock scaling and ditching will close part of the eastbound shoulder at the Lasalle Boulevard extension at the off-ramp to Elm Street at Thursday, December 13 and Friday, December 14. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic control will be in place.

City Council Votes to Allow Retail Cannabis Stores in Greater Sudbury

City Council has passed a resolution to allow retail cannabis stores in Greater Sudbury. The decision will allow applications to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to be processed sooner, providing more time for stores to set up their operations. Retail outlets are anticipated to be permitted beginning April 1, 2019.

Traffic Update- Lisgar Street and Paris Street

Lisgar Street, Sudbury- Sanitary pipe repairs will close Lisgar Street on Monday, December 10 to Monday, December 17. Motorists will not have access during the repairs. Pedestrians will have access on the west side of the street.

Paris Street, Sudbury- Ditching and rock scaling will close the northbound curb lane on Paris Street between Maki Avenue and Wagner Street on Thursday, December 6. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and traffic control will be in place.
