Road Reconstruction
Loach’s Road and Armstrong Street, Sudbury

The City of Greater Sudbury will be completing road and water/wastewater improvements on Loach’s Road, between Armstrong Street and Oriole Drive, and on Armstrong Street between Loach’s Road and the dead end, in Sudbury.

Construction by the City’s Contractor, Teranorth Construction and Engineering Limited will begin Winter 2024 and is expected to be completed Fall 2024.

Work will typically take place during daylight hours Monday to Friday. Weekend or night work may be required.

Project Highlights:

Loach’s Road:

  • Addition of bike route. 
  • Reconstruction of roadway with installation of new asphalt, concrete, curbs and sidewalk.
  • Installation of new watermain and new sanitary sewer main including services from the main to the lot line.
  • Replacement of some of the storm sewer system.

Armstrong Street:

  • Reconstruction of roadway with installation of new asphalt.
  • Improvement of drainage ditches.
  • Installation of new watermain and new sanitary sewer main including services from the main to the lot line.
  • Realignment of the intersection at Loach’s Road.

Expected Start Date: Winter 2024
Expected End Date: Fall 2024

Property restoration and the final lift of asphalt to be completed in Spring of 2025.
