City of Greater Sudbury Honours its Volunteers

Apr 21, 2023

The City of Greater Sudbury recognized community volunteers during last night’s Civic Awards Ceremony at the Northern Water Sports Centre.

The Civic Awards are presented to individuals and groups who consistently give back to the community. These awards promote and reward leadership, humanitarian service and enrichment of the human spirit through volunteerism and community involvement.

“Our community thrives because of our volunteers, and the annual Civic Awards are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate their contributions,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor Paul Lefebvre. “This year’s ceremony recognized a diverse group of volunteers representing contributions to the arts, senior services, education, sports and recreation, and more. These volunteers donate their time, energy and ideas to make our community a safer, happier and more inclusive space for everyone, and I thank them for all they do.”
