Waterfront Lifeguards
Position overview:
Waterfront Lifeguards are stationed at our local beaches. They ensure all swimming guidelines are being followed, warn swimmers of potential dangers and administer lifesaving actions in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Must possess current National Lifeguarding (NL)
- Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR Level C from The Lifesaving Society, Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Ski Patrol - or any other agency listed as an approved provider by the WSIB - and uphold these certifications for the period of employment
- Provide, at own cost, a criminal records check

Rate of pay:
$17.05 per hour (effective April 1, 2024)
Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week
- Shifts are between 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Weekend work required
