City of Greater Sudbury is Offering a Free Sports Program for Children Ages 6 to 9

The City of Greater Sudbury is excited to announce the return of the Feel Free to have a Ball program. It’s open to all boys and girls aged 6-9 and will help in the development of fundamental movement and ball sport skills. The program will be centered on ball sports such as basketball, volleyball, bowling, soccer and will also feature new and emerging sports such as pickelball and flag football.

The program will provide a great opportunity for youth to meet people, make friends and to learn new sports. A nutritious snack will be provided at each session.

Feel Free to have a Ball will run once a week for an hour and half, for 7 weeks beginning on April 11. There is no cost to register for the program.

The program will be available Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 a.m.  to 10:30 or 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Adamsdale Public School (Minnow Lake)
Algonquin Public School (South End)
Churchill Public School (New Sudbury)
École St-Joseph Sudbury – French program (Flour Mill)
St. David Catholic Elementary School (Donovan)
St. Francis Catholic Elementary School (West End)
St. Paul Catholic Elementary School (Coniston)
St. Raphael Catholic Elementary School – French Program (New Sudbury)
