2021 Canada Summer Games Bid Announcement

Residents are invited to Science North on March 30 to cheer for Greater Sudbury during the winning host community announcement for the 2021 Canada Summer Games.  The winner will be announced via live feed on the IMAX big screen. The live broadcast will begin at 11:40 a.m. and will include appearances from Tom Quinn., Canada Games Council chair, The Honourable Eleanor McMahon, Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and Adam Van Koeverden, Canada Games alumnus.

The Canada Games Council will make the formal announcement at 12:15 p.m. at the University of Toronto’s Hart House, surrounded by partners and representatives from the four community finalists. The winning city’s committee president will speak on behalf of their community.

The announcement will be streamed live at periscope.tv/CanadaGames and at twitter.com/CanadaGames.
