Litter Clean-up & Programs

picture of garbage and recycling receptacles

The City of Greater Sudbury urges all citizens to do their part to help keep our City clean and free of litter. Greater Sudbury is blessed with beautiful natural surroundings and we all must to do our part to preserve the environment and protect our quality of life. The City of Greater Sudbury has several measures to help control litter, including “Trash Troopers” and “Clean-up Greater Sudbury”. The City maintains approximately 190 litter containers to make it easier for citizens to dispose of unwanted items. If everyone makes a commitment to a cleaner environment, and if parents and schools teach children from a very early age to respect their surroundings, then littering will be a thing of the past.
